Service Director - South Bay Area Branch Office
Job Description
Provides the overall direction and leadership for the planning, coordination, evaluation of American Red Cross services throughout the Branch Office jurisdiction. Ensures that the delivery of the highest quality of client/customer services is provided. Provides technical guidance and leadership to office volunteers and staff. Organizes the community around American Red Cross efforts through community outreach and fundraising. Assists the Executive Management Team in carrying out the mission of the American Red Cross. Position reports directly to the Managing Director.
Required Experience:
Five years of administrative or supervisory experience, preferably with the American Red Cross.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to provide motivation, guidance and direction to volunteer and paid staff. Proven ability to give program direction, guidance and development. Knowledge of community resources, ARC policies and procedures and the principles, casework and community organizational methods and techniques

This Job Requires the Following Skills:
Provides leadership, coordination and general direction regarding all American Red Cross services in the branch office jurisdiction. Develops, maintains and supports an active and representative Branch Office Advisory Committee. Provides leadership and support to varoius Committees (disaster, health and safety, etc.)
Education Required:
BA degree in Human Services related field preferred. Appropriate experience may replace need for degree.

Position Type: Full Time
Travel Required: 10% of the time (approximate)
